Albiorex Technology

Stem cell science has evolved from attempting to introduce stem cells to inducing (forcing) stem cell growth with the aim of curing chronic and acute disease and treating injuries.

Regenerative medicine has the ultimate goal of creating the ability in mammals that amphibians and some sea life such as starfish and crustaceans have to heal wounds completely and regrow functioning appendages.

While stem cells play a central role in this process, leading edge focus has moved from introduction and inducement of stem cells to materials that can either stimulate the growth of stem cells or cause regular cells to differentiate into stem cells with the primary goal of returning tissue to an embryonic state.

Albiorex’ discovery has shown clear evidence in two separate animal studies of “returning tissue to an embryonic state,” in the opinion of our regenerative medicine advisors.

One of our primary developmental focus areas is as a potential therapy for skin regeneration based on the evidence that our discovery may promote an embryonic wound environment that inhibits the formation of granulation tissue and stimulates the production of stem cells in surrounding tissue.

A corollary development focus associated with skin regeneration, which is at the pivotal FDA study stage, is for use as a dermal filler.
